Shield bash is Melee based spirit attac

Hello,

I have been playing my inquisitor a lot lately and it has come to my attention that shield bash and arcane poison attack do not work as they are intended to do. Here is what I did.

1. Test match in PvP without melee gems gave 2500 shield bash damage before wrath.
2. Second match where i equiped melee gems to get 13k melee rating the same shield bash dealt 3500 damage.
3. Conclusion is that shield bash is affected by melee despite this being a magic (spirit) attack.

Can anyone confirm this is a bug or intended.

Are the match opponents the same? if not, are their resists/def the same?
It might just be that the second opponent had a lower magical resist.

I challenged the same opponent while letting her know that I was going to run some test zo that she wouldnt Change anything

On top of this I use shield bash in tsr P3. I used to deal 6k crits after major spirit rune. When i was maxing my melee tome damage went up to 9-10k crits while not changing anything else except maybe 9% dmg from enchants.
