I finished the main story-line quests in 2.0 and was working on the other side-quests, when I encountered something very unexpected in Sacred Landing, the first encounter zone in the new Vile Lands. I was humming along, fighting waves of the Vile there, when I ran into Saydon, Keeper of the Mists, a level 33 Boss. Random encounter, no warning or anything. After a moment of surprise, I headed in and fought him. He has over 80K health, a fact I discovered when he used a recovery move after I had almost killed him that filled his health bar completely. After beating him, I opened a chest which included a Mystery Potion, that does something mysterious, along with other normal rewards. I continued, and came face to face with him again. This time he flattened me while my health pot was on regen, and I died.

Has anyone else run into Saydon yet? Has he dropped anything else for you besides mysterious potions?

I bumped into Bromet in the field of the dead. He is a tough dude, watch out or you get turned to stone!

Got a mystery potion from him as well... Interested to see what they do.

Yup, I ran into Saydon. Rewards were nicer than your average boss, etc. But nothing out of the ordinary that I can tell.

They're just roving elementals. The mystery potions seem to just do random effects. One poisoned me, and another gave me last stand.

As mentioned, there's a second one, Bromet, Keeper of the Ages, that one of my other toons ran into later yesterday. Saydon seems to only be in the Mistwalker Woodlands, Bromet only in the Accursed Steppe. Here's the picture of Bromet I took.

I got desperate in a LoB onslaught phase and used my mystery potion. I got "Rampage" which halved my action times for a while. Pretty useful in onslaught.

Unfortunately I had just been disarmed when I took it (cleansing pot on cd). So all I could do was throw a series of very fast punches!
