Transfer Plate, and Recipe, for Energy Regen

Postby Bj_Knows » Tue Jul 16, 2013 5:39 pm

Subject
Transfer Plate, and Recipe, for Energy Regen

Note: All items shown, require the character to unlock the Workshop, to use them.

The green circled item is a Transfer Plate (Note 1) which lets you add a Runic Enchantment to an item. This Plate is a rank 3 Enchantment. The Transfer Plate is its own materials (it is consumed) and single use.

The red circled item is a Recipe: Magic: Energy Regen (Note 2) which lets you add a Runic Enchantment to an item, increase the Rank of a matching Enchant (Empower an Enchant), or create a Transfer Plate from an item with a matching Enchant (Enchant must be Rank 3+ to create a Plate). The Recipe requires you to gather, or purchase, materials (Types of Essence, Flux, Gravers), increasing amounts for each Rank, but the Recipe is reusable.

Note 1)
Unlike a Recipe, a Transfer Plate is the only thing needed to add an Enchant to an item. The Transfer Plate is treated as a single use Recipe (it is consumed), with no other Materials required, and take 30 seconds to Enchant. Once used on an item, the resulting Enchant cannot be increased in Rank without the matching Recipe.

Recipes vs Transfer Plates

There is no need to learn.

Both are used to take an item and add a Runic Enchantment to the item.

Metaphor 1
The Recipe is like a page in a cook book that needs a microwave (Workshop), ingredients (Types of Essence, Flux, Gravers), takes a long time to cook, and is reusable.

The Transfer Plate is like a frozen dinner that needs a microwave (Workshop), is its own ingredients (consumes itself), heats up very quickly and is single use.

Metaphor 2
The Recipe is like a page in a spell book that needs verbal components (Workshop), material components (Types of Essence, Flux, Gravers), takes a long time to cast, and is reusable.

The Transfer Plate is like a spell scroll that needs verbal components (Workshop), is its own material components (consumes itself), is very quick, and is single use.

Note: Enchants are stuck to a specific item. You cannot move them like Augment Gems. Transferring an Enchant from one item to a second item requires using the Workshop to create a Transfer Plate of the Enchant, which costs 54- 63% the original materials used to create the Enchant. It is recommended that you only Enchant one item (Note 1) until you have all Top Tier Gear (currently Tier 14 not counting a Craftable Quest Item).

Note 1)
You need to Enchant one item with Luck for the Enchant Quest Chain.
