Questions in Global Chat or Forum Post
1) Global Chat is a good place to ask a simple question about Quests. Ex: Where do I find Waterlogged Corpses? For more complex questions, using a laptop, and the various Search types on the Forums, is your better bet. Ex: Where do I find the next Shard for the Amulet of Ironhaven? What is the best way to find, and fight, “Bromet, Keeper of the Ages”?
2) Global Chat is a good place to ask a simple question about Loot. Ex: Where do I find Impure Shadows? For more complex questions, using a laptop, and the various Search types on the Forums, is your better bet. Ex: I need a little more might to get into the Soldier Valor Raids, what is the best way to maximize my current Gems and Gear? Which is Dungeon is best, I don’t need Tier 4 Red Shards?
Short answers work best because typing on a smartphone is hard, and chat messages are limited to 1024 characters ( BoH Mail to 2056 ). Additionally, someone has probably already answered it on the Forums. Remember the Smartphone version of the Forums is only good for copying Posts to Guild Mail and checking your messages.
Questions in Guild Chat or Guild Mail
1) Guild Chat, or Guild Mail, is a great place to ask for advice on character Builds, Class Abilities, character Ability Sets, selecting Gems and selecting, or buying, Gear. Not only can your Guild mates Inspect your current Build, but they already know your play style. Ex: If you are a Magic, with high Crit Rating, Shadow Walker running an Elixir of Protection, you will have different play than style than a Melee, with high Haste Rating, Shadow Walker running an Elixir of Speed. Remember, reseting your Class Ability Sets for each Build is now FREE! so experiment. That is how I fell in love with Magma Jet rank 3.
2) Guild Chat, is a perfect place to issue PvP Challenges (test your initial PvP cool downs, rotation, tactics and strategies), post Replays of Challenges, and learn from your fellow Guild mates how to get better at PvP. You can even have a VS Monster character in a PvE Guild and a VS Player character in a PvP Guild.
Private Message (Forum PM), or Whisper (Chat Channel) a Chat Mod, Chat Admin, Forum Mod or Dev
1) To tell them they are aweSPOON. Chat Mods and Forum Mods are volunteers that get zero pay, and zero in game items. Not even a Mod Background or a Mod Prestige Item. Instead the volunteers are paid in praise and taxed in grief. The pay is too low and the taxes are too high. Many games have no Chat Mods, or poor Chat Mods, and are overrun with abuse and harassment of players.
Devs like to get a pat on the back also. Usually they only hear the complaints, because the happy customer is too busy enjoying the aweSPOON game that is BoH.
Personal Note: When I am at a big event, or a restaurant, being well run, I take time to tell the manager. They seldom hear anything from the customer except when things go horribly, horribly, wrong.
2) You Raid or PvP with them. They are people too, and play the game to be social. [teasing] Well, *most* of them [end teasing].
3) You have gotten to know them, and they you. We are all friends here, but Cia cannot remotely keep up with the number of Whispers and PMs (Spoons are aweSPOON). Dragon Chick used to have a similar problem (Europe Just ROCKS).
Customer Service Email
1) You accidentally bought two pairs of Tier 18 Boots (you have 72 hours to report it, then Venan will get to it as soon as possible).
2) You suspect your character, or Venan ID, is broken. First check this link Solving/ Reporting Bugs.
3) You are reporting Abusive BoH Mail.
4) You are reporting inappropriate Guild, Venan ID, or character names.
5) GMs who are reporting Skunk Mercs https://www.venan.com/boh_forum/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=7082
6) You are reporting Abusive Forum Posts.
7) You have a question only the Devs can answer https://www.venan.com/boh_forum/viewtopic.php?p=30364#p30364
Report Button
1) Violations of Chat rules in public Chat Channels (Language & PvP).
2) Abuse, or Harassment, in any Chat Channels, including Whispers https://www.venan.com/boh_forum/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=6359
Note: Some Guild, and Officer, Chat Channels warn of “Adult Chat”, “18+ Chat”, etc. However, that does not excuse Abuse, or Harassment. If the GM, or Officers, does not take care of the problem, the Report Button will bring it to the Chat Mods, and Admin, attention. The Report Button is also useful for dealing with Abusive Mercs. This is different than Skunk Mercs https://www.venan.com/boh_forum/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=7082
