All Tier items have a tier (how powerful), minimum level (who can use it), price (how much does it cost), and a color. What is the color? The color is how often an item appears in the game based on tier, price, monster drops and Boss drops.

In Majerio's Shop, tier Items bought with silver pieces are available to all players. They are colored as follows:

Green(Magic)
Tier 2, requires Level 4
Tier 3, requires Level 7
Tier 4, requires Level 10 (Lowest Tier for an Amulet)
Tier 5, requires Level 13 (Lowest Tier for a Ring)
Tier 6, requires Level 16

Blue(rare)
Tier 7, requires Level 19
Tier 8, requires Level 21

In Majerio's Shop, tier items bought with gold shields are only available to players who find enough gold shields as loot or spend real world money. Most items are expensive enough to require real money. These items are inherently less common in the game. However, they have lower level requirements.
H
Blue(rare)
Tier 6, requires Level 1

Purple (epic or more rare)
Tier 9, requires Level 10 [edit now 15]

In Majerio's Shop, tier items bought with valor are only available to players who join a Guild and complete Raids. These items are inherently the least common in the game. However, they have no level requirement. If you have the valor, you can buy it.

Purple (epic or more rare)
Tier 6, requires Level 1, squire valor
Tier 10, requires Level 1, soldier valor

Orange (legendary or most rare)
Tier 11, requires Level 1, knight valor [edit now Tier 12]

Purple vs green gear. No difference?

So tier 6 has green, blue, and purple gear, all of which has the same stats. Is the only advantage of the purple over green the ability to buy with squire points?

Seems like there should be some benefit from having to earn points to buy.

Tier 6 Gear requires level 16 for your character to equip it if you use Silver Coin to buy it, but Level 1 with Gold Shields or squire Valor.
