I noticed that it says you have to be in a guild to raid, but I was able to raid without being in a guild once they became available to me by tapping "auto join".

Related to your other post, and of interest to new players, If you Raid in your own Guild, you earn Guild Loyalty for all Energy spent in Raid. If you use Raid Finder to join another Guild's Raid, you get zero Guild Loyalty for Energy spent.

You do get Guild Loyalty for Guild Favor. Ex: if your Guild needs Bandits for your Guild favor, and the other Guild is running a Lockbolt Raid that you join, you will get credit in your Guild for each Bandit you kill in their Raid. But you get Guild Loyalty for anytime you kill a Bandit, anywhere, since it is currently contributing to your Guild Favor. Once the Guild Favor no longer needs Bandits, you will stop getting Guild Loyalty for Bandit kills.
