Predicting Popularity of Prestige Abilities

Given what we know now, and assuming no future Epic Level Nerfs (looking at you
Deep Freeze and Guild Favors) I predict the following popularity in Coliseum builds:

  • Mojo: Cleanses and purges all effects from you and your enemies.
    (If Mojo works on Juggernaut)
  • Last Stand: Grants Last Stand that lasts for x seconds. While the buff is active, you cannot die but will continue to take damage.
  • Provoke: A quick non lethal taunt that deals x% weapon damage to an enemy, but allows your ability cast timers to be unpredictable.
  • Leech: Grants a x% chance to heal after landing a hit.
  • Amplify Red: Increase the effectiveness of Red Gems by x%.
  • Amplify Yellow: Increase the effectiveness of Yellow Gems by x%.
  • Amplify Blue: Increase the effectiveness of Blue Gems by x%.
  • Safeguard: Reduces damage taken by x% and increases Block by x%, Dodge by x%, Status Resist by x% and Knockback Resist by x% for the duration of the ability.
    (might be more popular for Shadow Walkers with Quickness & Prestige Sidestep)
  • Sidestep: Unbalance your enemy by dodging and causing them to be slowed by x seconds.
    (see Safeguard comment above)
  • Majerio's Box: Randomly casts one of these spells: Stun, Sunder Armor, Weaken, Juggernaut, Urgency or Regeneration. Cannot be used within the first x seconds of combat.
Volunteer- donating BLOOD to Red Cross, SWEAT to Forums.

Personal Ranking of Prestige Abilities

Given what we know now, and assuming no future Epic Level Nerfs (looking at you
Deep Freeze and Guild Favors) I predict the following popularity in Coliseum builds:

MY PERSONAL OPINION
  • Mojo: Cleanses and purges all effects from you and your enemies.
    (If works on Juggernaut and Keepers, definitely a handy ability)
  • Safeguard: Reduces damage taken by x% and increases Block by x%, Dodge by x%, Status Resist by x% and Knockback Resist by x% for the duration of the ability.
    (Defend is a nice way to take away some control from your opponents, and save silver in the Vile Realm, except Onslaught, this is a buffed Defend. Heck, I even used Defend before it became popular, why Shadow Walker BarbSpice has some much silver coin)
  • Leech: Grants a x% chance to heal after landing a hit.
    (The most memorable PvP wins and losses are by small margins)
  • Last Stand: Grants Last Stand that lasts for x seconds. While the buff is active, you cannot die but will continue to take damage.
    (Given the tendency of large hits out of nowhere, this will be similar to dealing with Snap Cast in PvP- what if both players have it?- and Prince of Blades immunity, timing is *everything*)
  • Provoke: A quick non lethal taunt that deals x% weapon damage to an enemy, but allows your ability cast timers to be unpredictable.
    (Many of the same advantages and disadvantages as Urgency rank 3)
  • Sidestep: Unbalance your enemy by dodging and causing them to be slowed by x seconds.
    (would be higher if Lean War Mage Cassidy could get some Tier 20 Gear & Tier 8 Gems or if the level cap was staying at 35, but her Dodge percentage will suffer at Level 40)
  • Majerio's Box: Randomly casts one of these spells: Stun, Sunder Armor, Weaken, Juggernaut, Urgency or Regeneration. Cannot be used within the first x seconds of combat.
    (since I have a personal dislike of Urgency, would be higher if Urgency was not included)
  • Amplify Red: Increase the effectiveness of Red Gems by x%.
    (More interested in efficiency than Max Stats)
  • Amplify Yellow: Increase the effectiveness of Yellow Gems by x%.
    (More interested in efficiency than Max Stats)
  • Amplify Blue: Increase the effectiveness of Blue Gems by x%.
    (BoH currently favors attack instead of defense, Dodge more than Resist, & Defense Enchant more than Resist)

As a Justicar, having a slow enemy spell seems beneficial. Justis have knockback but no slow abilities.

Well, unless you count their attacks, which are very slow abilities.

Will amplify red/yellow/blue gems affect white gems too?
If not they will be more useless than they are now :)

Even more important imho is how will this be affected by diminishing returns. I have a feeling that these will be completely useless but we'll soon see.

Also, I assume the healing enchants boost the healing done by Leech? Depending on how much healing Leech does this could make for some interesting builds.
