Bug, Forum Image & Banner Image different - RESOLVED

Bug, Forum Image & Banner Image different HoliGob finishes

The Forum Image (Note 1) shows "Ends 2:15am EST/ 7:15am GMT on 1/2". I have a screen capture of the in game banner advertisement from this morning (Tue 12/30) saying it "Ends 2pm EST/ 7pm GMT on 1/2".

Is the game banner a bug?

We are aware that the in game ad had showed a PM end time instead of an AM end time.

We have corrected this, this morning. The in game ad should now show the correct end time of the event.

Please be aware that the last Holiday Goblin spawn will be at 2am EST/ 7am GMT on 1/2 which will last for 15 minutes and the event will end at 2:15am EST / 7:15am GMT.

The Holiday store will stay open until 3am EST / 8am GMT on 1/3 so that everyone has plenty of time to shop before it official closes. Use those Red and Green Ornaments before you lose them!

This doesn't relate just to this event, but in general.
Because different countries use different date formats, there can be confusion when an event is posted in USA-ian date format and a European reads it. "1/2" means 1st Feb in a large chunk of the world. Might it be preferable to write these longhand (ie "last spawn 0700 GMT 2nd Jan" to prevent any confusion?

The other option, of course, is to get Americans to use a sensible date format, but I can't see that happening anytime soon ;)

Well, we will all be sensible the second January of next year! Until then perhaps those that have learned impropper English will just have to live with it until January 2nd.

We will be using the server times in the in game ads and news feed going forward. Other places like this forums or social media will use multiple formats to get the point across for all players around the world. Thanks for the suggestion. Changing ads constantly due to daylight savings, time zones and culture differences can get a bit frustrating. ;)
