Hunting Keepers with a warm hat & chocolate

The white hat is cool, but pricey, so I wouldn't mind winning it in the Lockbox. While I like the nose piece on the other hat, it looks too similar to the free hat with antlers.

Totally misread the Lockbox description. I thought it said "Contains every Seasonal Consumable ever" when it meant "Contains every Winter Holiday Consumable". But I still spent 10 GS on it. I am currently hunting Keepers with Lean War Mage Cassidy, and she is burning through Chocolate. Forgot to use Chocolate and Orosin killed her for a 5 GS revive. ugh.

P.S. I am leaning towards WordPress for my BoH/ SMW/ Ingress Blog. It lets you turn on and off comments for each post, lets you use categories and tags, and has a like button to replace "+1" Posts. I need to check out its search function.

It does actually contain every holiday consumable. The winter drop rate is higher but I did get at least one of every consumable from every holiday event in 100GS spent, just FYI.

Why do stories need to be linear and repeatable? What if instead of finishing a movie, you could keep exploring it? What if your favorite side-character could become central to the plot? Why can’t we harness technology to explore our creativity in a new hybrid of full-interactive, immersive animation? A new startup is determined to do just that.

MashUp Machine seeks to bring the creativity and open-ended nature of traditional storytelling to the era of mass media. The idea is deceptively simple. The startup provides their users with a suite of tools to make it easy to create interactive stories, and a bit of machine learning code to help them explore ideas. In return, anyone can contribute to the infinite iterations of a constantly branching, evolving story.
. . .
People readily embrace inserting their own theories into stories and dreaming up new adventures for their favorite characters. The modern media market includes an entire subculture of fan fiction and alternative interpretations. “People want to take things and keep them moving,” said Cole. “They want to put their own stamp on it.”

Yet our consumption is throttled by how many movies, games, books, or comics a creator can churn out in a year. We want to explore alternate endings, but we are trapped in a single static story. We want to change the stories we consume to reflect the lives we lead, swapping genders, racial identity, cultural background, and economic class—but we can’t. So why not crowdsource collections of evolving, branching stories exploring every possible idea?

One of the things I loved about Duke Nukem was the mod community, it reminded me of the table top RPG community I was a part of:

Note for Bj: cut & paste this to two device PvP topic

Lean War Mage Cassidy leveled *too* quickly due to PvP XP. Which is not dependent on PvP Rating or winning, just what level opponent matching finds. Two device PvP would be a good way to deliberately race to reach Level 40 & unlock 3rd Prestige Ability point. Any marks earned can be turned in for T20 Coliseum weapon if Venan ever releases one. Use stock piled +Mark Elixirs.

Leave this section here:

All characters have T19 weapons on both Venan IDs ("Ouch ouch ouch that shoulder hurts"- TVal 2015) help with L40 Monsters.

Global loot table scales so race to Level 40 with least button presses & burning. Finally an incredible opportunity for those +XP Elixirs taking up inventory. Then hunt some more Keepers when L40.

Maybe spend some of the gs hoard from 2014 gs sales. Majerio's Box reminds me of WOW from AD&D. Unlike Accuracy enchant, Majerio's Box has easily visible affect.

War Mage/ Inquisitor Starting Gems

Parking this for a whiles, since original post is hard to read on iPhone

For a Lean War Mage/ Lean Inquisitor:

3* Tier 6 Haste Gems
1* Tier 6 Dodge Gem (replaces one Tier 3 Haste Gem in PvP Build)
3* Tier 3 Haste Gem

3* Tier 6 Magic Gems

2* Tier 3 Crit Power Gem (one from Beginner’s Offer)
1* Tier 1 Magic Resist Gem (from Prestige Beginner’s Bundle at Majerio’s)
[edit: no gems from Beginner's Bundle so skip Tier 1 Magic Resist Gem]

T7.15 Tragick Dodge Gem in Black Market

T7.15 Tragick Dodge Gem in Black Market

Tragick Dodge gems (180 GS, +16 Dodge Multiplier, -10% to Blue gems in same gear per Yellow Tragick gem in same gear) are currently available in the Black Market (2d left, 20:05 Server Time Saturday July 30).

MY PERSONAL OPINION
I am buying one for my Inquisitor, Frost Knight & Flame Warden.

While not as good as T7 Dodge/ Luck gems from the Lucky event, Tragick Dodge gems are a good deal.

Blue gems already have an unusual stat curve, Crit Power especially, so are less effected by Tragick gems. This makes Tragick yellow gems the least penalized compared to red & blue.

Crit gems need Crit Power gems to be effective. T7 Haste Gems are already close to effective haste because haste stat curve is unaffected by level. So Tragick Dodge gems are the most effective of the Tragick yellow gems.

Block Enchant

Block Enchant

Idea: If character has Elder Fury or Heavy Shield, is Status Resist & Block Enchant ultimate combo for PvP

Block 0.8 % per rank = Defense Enchant (0.8% * characters Defense Percentage because Block doubles Defense Percentage effectively when it halves damage) + Knockback Resistance Enchant (0.8% * 100% because Block grants 100% Knockback a Resistance versus Blocked Attack) + Resilence Enchant (0.8% * 100% because Block grants 100% Crit Resist versus Blocked Attack) = 1.6% + 0.8% * characters Defense Percentage per rank

Compared to
Defense = 1% / characters Defense Percentage + 0% Knockback Resist + 0% Crit Resist
Knockback resist = 0% Defense + 3% Knockback Resist + 0% Crit Resist
Resilence = 0% Defense + 0% Knockback Resist + 1.5% Crit Resist
Block Enchant 0.8% better than Block Power 1.0% (add link to previous forum analysis).

Edit: For PvP. Since monsters have low Crit & characters have healing potions, Status Resist & Knockback Resist better for Onslaught, especially with Elder Fury (separate bonus to Knockback Resist) since Debuffs & Knockback more of a penalty in Onslaught due to timer. While non-Onslaught monster combat Knockback is more of an annoyance.

If you feel like crunching some numbers (we miss you NikoNarf), you can figure out how much GS energy, or free energy, has to be spent in raids to get a Guardian Valor Gem. The last I have the numbers for are Tier 4 Gems (Note 1). Plus you can skip getting Tier 2-7 Gems for whichever gem slot you put the Tragick Dodge Gem.

Note 1)
MMO's are all about the grinding, which is why a good group of friends is required (multiply these numbers by 40 for a full set of gems):
