The blue so bottomless and vast,
unseen, what hides below.
A bridge between tomorrow and the past,
the shells a story written on the sands
- a gift of beauty.
Praise whispered by the dunes, all tides obey the moon,
the swallows dance and bow,
all creatures twirl to stormwinds tune,
and magic rises where the water parts the lands
- a song of awe.
Saltladen winds caress the face,
a silken pleasure.
I'm torn from time and space,
the water's spray a shower
- a binding to the now.
Silver poured upon the waves,
a fickle treasure.
No shelter found and nothing saves
me from the blinding power
of the elements.
The storm picks up and sea and clouds
are raging 'mares.
A veil of rain paints dark and shrouds
the heaven. Heart envisions scary stares
of ancients, lurking in the depths.
And when the windswept soul surrenders to the wild
and force of nature, it can only pray,
that mother sea bestows the grace unto her child
and shows the hidden way
across the waters.
