Captain Johnny brings dire news to Glenfort: the Notorious Captain Darkthorn and his evil pirate crew are invading Lake Nithus with an eye to be pillaging Glenfort! Join forces with your fellow heroes for an unique world mercenary-only raid to help slay this pirate menace, steal his booty and save Glenfort!

Talk Like a Pirate Day includes:

• New Tier 21 Ring Recipe!
• New Blood Orange Recipe!
• New Cannonball Recipe!
• New pirate encounters including a rare raid boss, the Quarter Master!
• New feats!
• Unique limited time background!
• Stocked Pirate Lockbox including all previous years' items!

World Raid: Pirate Invasion

• The raid will be located on the main map in Lake Nithus.
• This is unique mercenary only raid where players throughout the world whether in a guild or guildless will have to come together to defeat the pirate invasion!
• There is no might requirement for the raid but characters must be level 5 or higher to join.
• The enemies will be scaled to the player's level when fighting through each of the 3 phases.
• Each raid will have 40 open spots for players to fill before reaching its full capacity.
• Multiple raids will be spawned at the beginning of the event to help handle the spike users coming online for the event.
• Our public raid system will continue to monitor each open raid and will only spawn a new raid when there are no more available spots in the raids currently listed in the raid menu. This raid monitoring will run continuously throughout the event.
• Failed raids will still give our rewards but at a reduced percentage that players would receive from successfully finishing the raid in Bronze ranking. Make sure you all work together to defeat these pirates!

Pirate Invasion: Aftermath

After multiple invasions some of the pirates have found their way off the pirate ship and have settled in on the shore. Players who have earned any of the recipes can find upgraded pirates at the Shore of the Realm where they can farm the materials needed to craft the T21 Ring and pirate consumables.

Raid Duration:
Total time allowed: 5 hours
Gold time ranking: under 2 hours and 5 minutes
Silver time ranking: under 3 hours
Bronze time ranking: under 5 hours

So as I read this, you'll be able to farm recipe components after the event, like bacon haunches? Including T21 ring components? So ring won't have to be crafting before event end, unlike T21 amulet?

I was wondering that - I was able to craft a second amulet on one toon well after the end of the chef event. I thought it wouldn't work, but since I had the materials it let me start the craft as normal.

New Tier 13 Pirate Eye Patches!

I'm not going back to see what the year before that is.

That's a lot of raiding if I want all the T21 and T19 for my toons.

Yes, you will be able to farm the blood orange, cannonball and T21 ring after the event if you have the those recipes.

I believe this weekend should be double valor weekend. If it is, will DV apply to the pirate raid as well?

They don't normally run weekend events when there's a seasonal event taking place
