Whilst it is great to be able to achieve new gear, especially that which is of a higher rating that anyone already has, this event has needlessly dragged on for a lot longer than it should have.

Now I am all for a event that requires user participation to gain the relevant new special equipped but this event is tedious now. It would be great if events were limited to a week and the items required therefore lowered to match.

Once this event finally finishes we will have pirates not long after and then the Halloween event. As someone than has a toon that needs 1000 shadows these events effectively kill raids and therefore make that difficult to acheive.

My point is that these events need to be shorter so that people don't lose interest in them. As it stands all events do is kill raids and kill interest.

Also it would be nice if on the next event the server errors are sorted. After so many events you'd think lessons would have been learnt? If I made that many mistakes and the same ones in my job is not have a job.

Coming from someone who rarely raids anymore, I find myself logging in more during events than anything else. Honestly, I feel the raids are more tedious than the events, hitting the same couple of raids over and over for months. The events come and go and then its back to the grind or back to retirement.

My only gripe is I have to log in on Venan's time for the event and I have been constantly shuffling my schedule so I can spend 30 min hitting the event on 3 toons. I do enjoy the pirate raid event as I can log in whenever I have the time and I know there will be a raid running that has a high probability of finishing GOLD!!

The schedule is my biggest annoyance with the events. Halloween being the worst as you need to be on the whole timespan or the payout is extra terrible.

Personally I love events and can live with whatever schedule is in place in order to get free stuff.

'Raid killer' seems to becoming a buzzword. If each event lasts around a week, that's 47 weeks you can raid. Raiding is year-round, events come about five times a year plus a few dungeon ones that were also labelled 'raid killers'.

There were multiple complaints regarding the infrequency of events, so we got the weekly ones. Now, we're pushing for them to be split up because it affects raiding too much to do a handful of 20e dungeons.

Either raids are boring and repetitive and players want variety...or we don't like our boring repetitive raids broken up a handful of times per year. Can't complain about both.
