2.1 Patch Notes (Edited)

General
  • Health Gems have diminishing returns similar to other player gem stats.
  • Character Creation:
    • All new male and female faces.
    • All new male and female hair styles.
    • These new faces and hairstyles will be available when creating a new character as well as Claude's Barber Shop.
  • Visual improvements to the map of Glenfort and Vile Realm.
  • Resolve has been refactored.
  • Specs are referred to as builds.
  • Players will have the option to purchase additional builds for their character.
  • Players will be able to name their builds to tailor to that style of play.
  • Players will be able to reset their character’s abilities for free.
  • Respec Tokens have been removed and players will receive 5 gold shields for each respec token they have in their characters’ inventory.
  • 7 Day Elixirs will no longer be obtainable. If you purchased them previously, they will still be usable.
  • The Black Market will be up all of the time and its stock will change periodically.
  • Lady Gwynn has moved out of the Coliseum and into her own place.
  • We have implemented a free gold shields offer for Amazon devices.
  • Players will receive a popup notification when they receive a moderator warning message.
  • Greater Elixirs have been removed from the game.
Classes
  • War Mage
    • Elemental Fracture: Ice attacks apply Fire Fracture, reducing the enemy's Fire Resistance by 3/5/7%. Fire attacks apply Ice Fracture, reducing the enemy's Ice Resistance by 3/5/7%. Stacks up to 3 times.
    • Snap Cast: Allows the next spell to be cast instantly, if defend is used snap cast is consumed. Cannot be used within the first 1.75 seconds of combat (Cooldown 6/5.5/5).
    • Ignite: Adds a 20/35/50% chance to add a stacking Burning effect from Fire Spells, dealing an additional 100% weapon damage over 5.0 seconds. Stacks up to 3 times.
    • Ice Mastery: Increases damage of Ice spells by 8/14/20% and no longer gives a chance to Freeze.
    • Staff Mastery: Increases weapon speed by 0.05/0.10/0.15 seconds and Crit Resist by 5/10/15% while wielding a two-handed weapon.
  • Justicar
    • Rend: Grants a 20/35/50% chance for any successful physical attack to apply a stack of Bleeding to the target, causing 100% weapon damage over 5.0 seconds. Stacks up to 3 times.
    • Heavenly Wave: A heavy spirit attack that deals 100/120/140% weapon damage to all enemies and reduces duration of all negative effects by 0.5/0.75/1.0 seconds (cast time 100/90/80%).
    • Cleave: Cast time reduced from 125% weapon speed to 100% weapon speed. Damage increased to 120/140/160% (from 100/120/140% previously).
  • Shadow Walker
    • Neurotoxic Stab: A Nature attack, dealing 75% weapon damage to an enemy and applies Neurotoxin effect, which reduces outgoing damage by 5/10/15%.
    • Poison Cloud: Envelop your enemies in a poisonous cloud which deals 80/100/120% weapons damage to all enemies and applies Poison Cloud effect, which does an additional 100/150/200% weapon damage over 3.0 seconds.
Enchantments
  • The workshop will open at level 16 and no longer require the Dragonmoor quest chain.
  • Players will be able to add two different enchantments to each piece of gear. These enchantments must be different (for example you cannot have two defense enchantments) on the same piece of gear.
  • Enchantment Transfer plate material requirements have been reduced.
  • Players will be able to transfer their enchantments to transfer plates by using gold shields.
  • Initiative Enchant: players will receive a 0.01 rank per enchant level to gain a head start in combat. The warm up timers on abilities are reduced by 0.01 per enchantment rank (PvP only).
PvP
  • PvP Leagues and Ratings:
    • Leaderboards and rankings in PvP will use a fully featured modified ELO system for rankings.
    • Players will have a public rating for each season.
    • Players will move up and down the ranks, moving them into other leagues. These leagues will have an impact on the rewards that can be earned from PvP.
  • Matchmaking System:
    • Players will be matched with other players based on their skill and performance.
    • Over time, players will be consistently placed into matches against equally skilled and ranked players.
  • Player Builds:
    • All players will receive a free Coliseum Build that can only be used in the Coliseum.
  • PvP Rewards:
    • PvP Beta Tokens have been removed from the game and have been replaced by two types of currencies, Marks and Medals.
    • Players will earn Marks as rewards for competing in PvP matches and can use this currency to purchase gear, gems, consumables, recipes and lockboxes.
    • The amount of Marks you earn each match depends on your rank, rating, outcome of the match, daily bonus and blessing.
    • Players will be able to receive a daily bonus for Marks if they participate in multiple matches in a day.
    • Players will earn special Medals every week based on their standings and performance in the Coliseum. These Medals can be used to purchase unique items to show off your status to other Heroes.
    • Every season will also have unique rewards to be earned that show off how well you have done in the Coliseum.
    • New tier 8, 12 and 16 PvP gear has been added to the Coliseum.
      • PvP gear has additional stats added to them known as VS Players and VS Monsters.
      • Having multiple pieces of PvP gear equipped will enhance these particular stats in a positive or negative way.
      • You get 1% bonus/negative per piece unless its a 2h weapon which is 2% bonus/negative.
      • Having a complete set of PvP gear will result in an additional +10% bonus damage toward VS Players.
      • The 9 pieces don't have to be of the same tier, they can be of Tier 8,12,16.
    • Lady Gwynn’s items have been removed from the Coliseum Store and can no longer be purchased. Players that have these items can still use them and select them in their wardrobe.
    • PvP Beta Backgrounds have been removed from the Coliseum Store and can no longer be purchased. Players that have these backgrounds can still select them as their background behind their character.
  • Replays:
    • Players will be able to view the last 20 matches played and will be able to replay those matches.
    • Players will be able to share their match replays with their Guilds, through Whisper and the PvP chat channel.
  • Direct Challenges:
    • Players will be able to issue direct challenges to their friends, guild mates, etc while both players are in the Coliseum.
    • Enterprising heroes may even wish to make a wager against their opponent during a challenge.
    • Players have the option to bet gold shields per match. If the other player accepts the challenge for gold shields then they will not have to use any Resolve.
  • Leagues:
    • Players will be able to see how they rank against other players including their guild mates in the League Menu.
    • The League Menu is split into 3 categories. 1)Me - represents the players current rank and rating within their league and the top six players that are above and below them. 2) Top - represents the top 100 ranked players in the Coliseum. 3) Guild - represents all guild mates that have participated in enough PvP matches to have a rank.
  • Stats:
    • A list of statistics that track a character’s performance within the Coliseum.
    • Example of Stats: 1) Overall Wins 2) Longest Win Streak 3) Wins vs class 4) Largest Hit 5)Total Fights
  • Feats:
    • PvP Beta Feats are listed as Heroic Feats.
    • Coliseum Feats have replaced Player vs Player Feats.
  • Card Frames:
    • Character frames have been improved to help represent a player’s status in the league they are currently in within the Coliseum.
Localization
  • Enlarged the Workshop Text Description UI for German local.
  • Improved translations for multiple languages.
Bug Fixes
  • Fixed a bug where Garrote wasn't taking a flat percentage off of an opponents dodge rating.
  • Fixed a bug where Armor Penetration Enchantment was not calculating the correct values at higher ranks.
  • Fixed a bug where Poison Cloud’s description string represented the wrong values for DOT damage.
  • Fixed a bug where Snap Cast was being consumed by Ice Spike Armor.
  • When creating a new character, players will now have to pick a name for their characters before being able to log into the game.
  • Fixed the text field in Enchanting Item UI.
  • The 2h bonus enchantment will no longer drop for Shadow Walkers.
  • Lockboxes can be opened even if players have a full inventory.
  • Training Hall action descriptions popup height was adjusted to be able to scroll with localized text.
  • Deleted characters will no longer receive mail which will help keep players away from the maximum amount of mail they can receive on their account.
  • Vile Gate Quest descriptions correctly match the required amount of materials needed to complete the quests.
Known Issues
  • Free gold shields offer crashes on First Generation Kindle Fire.

So aside from more nerfing of mages I do like the multiple enchantments per item. Will both effects work at the same time or will you have to choose an active effect and leave one inactive???

PvP gear will increase your damage VS Players and decrease your damage VS Monsters. PvE gear of the same tier will do more damage against Monsters.

Holy H### you guys have dramatically changed the game (not in a bad way either).

PvP just got completely remade..and double enchants....so so very interesting my head is exploding from the possibilities... looks to be very exciting!

I thought the same! Us fools who made spare sets of unusable enchants finally have a purpose :p
