Please look for and download the latest client update 2.2.2 in the Google Play and Amazon App Stores.

iOS users will be able to download the latest client update 2.2.2 later this week as it is currently going through their client submission process.

I'll check tomorrow, but my guess is this permission prompt is because the new DLC system does not require you to re download unchanged files and will access them in place, whether on main internal storage or SD card.
