Subject
for ALCHEMY! or Silver & Valor Recipe

Overview:
Downconvert Valor Recipe would use Silver Coin to prevent abuse
Without Recipe 1 squire Valor equals approx. 33.33 Silver Coin
With Recipe 1 squire Valor equals approx. 26.25 Silver Coin
Without Recipe 1 Knight Valor equals approx. 1,666 Silver Coin
With Recipe 1 Knight Valor equals approx 1,500 Silver Coin
The amount of Silver Coin used in the Recipe is based on v1.5 Alchemist Lockbox Gold Shield Return and Tier 4 Gem cost

Body:
An Admin once said in Global Chat "Not much use for Silver Coin at high levels". This version of Downconverting uses Silver Coin to prevent abuse.

Recipes would be available for Downconverting Valor. Like Transmuting Flux, you would pay Gold Shields for the Recipe.

Transmuting Knight Valor Recipe
1 Captain Valor + 30,000 Silver Coin = 20 Knight Valor

Transmuting Soldier Valor Recipe
1 Knight Valor + 3,000 Silver Coin = 20 Soldier Valor

Transmuting squire Valor Recipe
1 Soldier Valor + 300 Silver Coin = 20 squire Valor

Thus using all three recipes, 1 Captain Valor + 210,000 Silver Coin = 8,000 squire Valor

Equations
1 CV + 30,000 sc
20 KV * (3,000 sc)
400 SV * (300 sc)
= 210,00 Silver Coin

( 1 / 0.04 ) * 5,000 Silver Coin
=1 Gold Shield to 125,000 Silver Coin

Tier 4 Gem costs 30 Gold Shields or 2,250 Knight Valor
=1 Gold Shield: 75 Knight Valor

=75 Knight Valor to 125,000 Silver Coin
=1 Knight Valor: 1,666 Silver Coin

=1,666 Silver Coin * 20 = 33,333 Silver Coin

Double Check
Tier 2 Gem costs 750 squire Valor or 25,000 Silver Coin
= 1 squire Valor: 33.33 Silver Coin

Recipe
1 CV + 210,000 sc = 8,000 sqV
= 1 squire Valor: 26.25 Silver Coin

Double Check
Recipe
1 CV + 30,000 sc = 20 KV
= 1 Knight Valor: 1,500 Silver Coin

Bj the last idea is the best as there is really no use for silver unless buy that white gem slot. Thanks for improving my idea.

Thank you for sharing your idea. Just like the majority of Sticky Posts in Discussions, the more people share data and ideas, the more they cross pollunate and improve.

This is indeed an elegant solution, but.. but will it work in practice? A top/high might toon is unlikely to need to downconvert, say, precious capt.valor into mundane kv, etc. but is likely just to save it for future. A low might toon would also seem to be inclined to save it rather than downconvert. I try to imagine a situation when downconverting may be attractive (even as a free option, I am not even speaking of purchasing a recipe), and cannot think of any such circumstances. Moreover, current version of Alchemists's lockboxes allows to get minor valor, heck, ANY valor, quite easily. If anyone needs valor, I would suggest spending, say, 30k silver on lockboxes rather than on a recipe of this kind.. Currently my 4k might toon is sitting on hefty amounts (well, relatively hefty, dont get me wrong) of high tier valor after spending measle 300-400k silver just like that, without participating in any raid higher than Overseer. Actually, I am not sure why i should bother with Overseer at all.. considering how easily one gets 80/800 squire valor from boxes, you could get an entire t6 gear set without raiding in no time... This is sad.. I guess I have to start another topic on this..

Currency exchange.

Any chance to make the currency exchange rate work both ways?????? Ie get 20 squires valor for 1 soldiers valor?

It would make it way too easy to get higher gems then.

I currently have 1k CV.... if that converted to 20k KV... I could get 9-10 T4 gems...

Honestly, a third of my gems are still T3... it'd be too easy to boost up.

Making the two top tier tokens ineligible would balance this.

So... just squire and soldier's?? ...is that even necessary?

This has been suggested and rejected before. Save your CV for when you get to that level, soon enough you'll be exchanging currency the other way.
