I just can't seem to get the numbers to work out I'm a level 35wm with no melee gems and my tomes are only at 336. So by my math 35*10=350 + 336 = 686 but my stat is 720 what else affect that stat?

You're forgetting the 5% melee guild favor probably. This would make up the difference.

Just got back after a long hiatus. Anyone know if the level cap has changed these numbers?

Click wrote:Notes on Haste:

I find this stat to be very interesting. While in most games, Haste is a percentage of speed increase. In other words, you go X% FASTER. In BoH Haste is a percentage of the delay time of an ability that is removed. In other words, your ability takes X% less time to complete.

This could very well be why Haste is such a strong stat. While going 50% faster only makes you take 66% of the time to complete actions, reducing the ability execution time by 50% makes it take 50% of the time. This makes it stronger per percentage than in other games.

This also means that while it suffers from diminishing returns, the diminishing returns don't feel as harsh, simply because the more haste % you have, the more haste % is worth:

-If you are at 0% and you get 1% you have reduced your activation time by 1%. (A 1s swing becomes .99s)
-If you are at 50% and you get another 1% you have reduced your activation time by 2%. (A .5s swing becomes .49s)

Meanwhile Crit scales in the opposite direction.

-If you are at 5% crit and gain 1%, you increased your effective damage per action by .01 x (Crit Power) x Base DMG
-If you are 40% crit and gain 1%, you increased your effective damage per action by .01 x (Crit Power) x Base DMG, which is now less significant in proportion to your current damage potential since you are doing more damage than in the first scenario.

One can just invert the formula for haste. The formula given gives the percent reduction in time as
50%*haste/(999.5+haste) that means that the damage output per unit time is increased to 200%*(999.5+haste)/haste. The increase over base damage of 100% per unit time is this minus 1, or just

haste/(1999 + haste)

this is the value to compare to the other formulas on an apples to apples basis.

Lazy man here. Has anyone calculated the points of - your not going to shave any more time of, or your not going to raise your damage in a noticeable fashion, so move to another star?

On damage, after you put somewhere around 2000 points into it, it is linear.

On haste and crit, going over about 40% is when the curve really kicks in and you gain little.

So that means when your stats say increase physical or magic data by 2000 you have essentially maxed. And when haste is at 40% same? Thanks!
Very important and much appreciated, since u can't redo HT
