Update 1.5.3 - January 31, 2013

Postby Little_Mike » Fri Jan 18, 2013 5:42 pm

Version 1.5.3 will be released on Thursday, January 31 at 2 PM EST / 7 PM GMT. We expect the maintenance to take about 3 hours.

General
  • Optimized memory usage in order to address stability issues. If you are running an iPad1 or iPod Touch, the game should be more stable when running high definition graphics.
  • Silenced users can no longer send mail.

Combat
  • The combat action bar can now support more than 15 actions. There are now pages of actions with at most 10 actions. You can scroll through these pages by swiping to the left or right.
  • Consumables are now also sorted by priority. All types of healing potions should now appear at the top of the action list.
  • Refreshing a damage over time debuff will no longer reset the damage timer.
  • Issues with the Onslaught timer have been fixed.
  • Rounding errors in the combat time display have been fixed. This resolves issues where it would appear monsters would move out of turn.
  • Monsters can now have passive abilities.
  • Certain rare monsters now have a progressively higher chance of spawning when not encountered.

Justicar
  • Brutality will now properly apply the crit power bonus when using a two-handed weapon.
  • Overkill will no longer get consumed by other procs that get fired at the same time.
  • Fixed Stagger description to indicate +50% damage bonus instead of +30%. The ability was already providing the +50% bonus but the description did not match.

Shadow Walker
  • Increased effect of Dual Wield from 33%/67%/100% to 50%/100%/150%.

War Mage
  • Snap Cast will no longer get consumed by other procs that get fired at the same time.
  • Reduced chance for Deep Freeze to apply Frozen from 5%/10%/15% to 3%/6%/9%.
  • Reduced ability cast time push back on Ice Lance from 0.75 seconds to 0.5 seconds.
  • Updated the description on Deep Freeze to indicate a reduction to Dodge.

World Events
  • All Incursion events are now 1 hour events and will appear more often. The 3 different portals have been renamed to: Amber Portal, Emerald Portal, and Indigo Portal. Each portal has a better chance to drop their respective Flux type.
  • The Incursion events now drop higher amounts of Essence.
  • There is a higher chance for single monster encounters in Incursion events.
  • The double Behemoth encounter has been removed from the Incursion events.
  • Suspending and resuming a device while in an Incursion zone will no longer set the world event timer to 0.
  • There is now a special store that sells items of limited quantity which will be available periodically. This includes additional recipes that have not been added to the game yet.
  • There is now an Events chat channel which contains World Event messages.
  • Along with the Global chat channel, Event messages are now displayed in the Guild and Guild Officer chat channels.

Dungeons
  • The Lord of Blades now has a chance to drop Essence and Flux in The Vile Gate dungeon.

  • Break Runes now have a different icon to distinguish itself from Purge Runes.
  • Fixed an issue which would cause consumable items to periodically not work when activated from the inventory.

Just curious: why the restrictions on Energy Potion use in Combat? And how is this enforced if one can leave a raid and re-enter without losing one's RPP bonus standing?

People are accidentally using them when they do not want to use them. You can still use the energy potions in your inventory at the victory screen.

I think they had to nerf some mage because they overpowerd the class. Was bound to happen.
